Personal Profile

Chaojing is a Chinese multidisciplinary artist. She has an undergraduate degree from the University of Montreal, and she has a background in Communication studies and Computational arts.
As an artist, her first aim is always to express. As a researcher, she is really interested in the spectrum that makes us human. Especially, she is curious about how the transformative experience happened during the VR experience time. It is a short, meaningful change in how a person feels, thinks, or relates to themselves or others. For example, it looks like someone who enters the experience feeling flat or stuck, and afterwards reports feeling lighter, more hopeful, or able to see a problem differently, and sometimes they actually act differently.
With a great interest in storytelling, she aimed to visualise the non-verbal feeling through various media such as Virtual Reality, Illustration, Video, Photography, and Words. Her work is dedicated to finding the connection between the digital world and humanity.
